Situated on over 360 acres of land, Baltimore Humane Society is an ideal setting to interact with your canine friend whether through training, hiking or simply enjoying the scenary.  Baltimore Humane Society is very happy to offer access to its facilities and grounds to both groups and individuals, and your pets too!  You have a few different options and some basic requirements, of course.

Please note that Baltimore Humane Society is entirely privately funded and, therefore, maintains the right to limit access to its grounds for any reason or no reason at all. Remember, utilizing our facility and our grounds is a privilege, not a right.  Regardless of whether you're a guest, member, trainer, rescue group or any other interested party, this disclaimer applies to you.

Guest visitors and members may access our grounds, but with some limitations.  Guests are invited each Wednesday beginning at 6pm for our Wednesday Night Hikes! This is a great opportunity to get out and hike with shelter dogs (or you can bring your own), learn about the Humane Society and explore volunteer opportunities.

Paying members have a bit more flexibility and enjoy a wider range of benefits including unsupervised access, drop in classes and more! (details below) For those wanting to support the Humane Society more than average, this is the ticket! All proceeds benefit shelter pets. What better way to help out a great organization while enjoying some time with your dog!

Baltimore Humane Society is also pleased to offer access to non-sheltering rescue groups.  We recognize that rescue work is difficult and that such organizations could often benefit from a place to meet, train and/or exercise rescued pets. 2 Strike Rule

This is a very simple rule that applies to everyone. The rules we have in place are there for a reason. You do not have to acknowledge or abide by them. That is your choice. However, we do not have to allow you to access our facility or grounds. You have two strikes, after which, you're out. No exceptions. Please, respect our policies.  It's not too much to ask.
1 These are just the basics. Additional rules will apply.
2 You, of course, assume all risk for off leash animals. All dogs will be evaluated by an approved trainer prior to being granted off leash rights. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3 Members may bring one guest at any time.
4 Meetups are informal meetings intended to facilitate rescue work. That does not necessarily include social events (though, you can rent the facility for this purpose).
