Rescue Ink, back in Baltimore You have heard the buzz…that’s right – the boys are coming back to town! The tough guys from Rescue Ink are back in Baltimore – by popular demand – in the form of paw print tattoos and in celebration of Pit Bull Awareness Day!

Over 100 Baltimore residents stood up to the challenge (a challenge put forth by Jill Rosen, on her Baltimore Sun Blog) -- 100-plus paw print tattoos and the boys from National Geographic’s Rescue Ink would come back to Baltimore to help the Baltimore Humane Society and the community celebrate Pit Bull Awareness Day!

The colorful weekend reunion will feature (Saturday, October 24 from 10 am to 7 pm) the Baltimore Tattoo Museum (1534 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231), which will sponsor a Tattoo-a-thon to accommodate all those who pledged to go under the needle! All proceeds will benefit both the Baltimore Humane Society and Rescue Ink.

The party continues on Sunday, October 25 from 12 to 4 pm at the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 (click for map) when Rescue Ink will be on hand to celebrate Pit Bull Awareness Day and the life of Phoenix, the Pit Bull puppy tortured and burned earlier this year in West Baltimore. B-More Dog will also be on hand to conduct demonstrations and speak on responsible pet ownership practices.

Pit Bull Spay/Neuter FundIn honor of Pit Bull Awareness Day, all of the proceeds donated to the Baltimore Humane Society during the two-day Rescue Ink Blitz will be used to match an existing BHS grant from Pit Bull Rescue Central to offer free spay/neuter services exclusively for Pit Bulls.

Join the Baltimore Humane Society for photo-ops, tough guys, adoptable pets, and more. Plus celebrate and preserve the Pit Bull breed -- the most exploited and abused K-9 breed.

You can’t miss this event!!!!!

pawprintsSaturday, October 24th, 10am - 7pm, Baltimore Tattoo Museum is sponsoring a Tattoo-a-thon (design to the right.  Dog paw example on top.  Cat paw design on bottom). Proceeds benefit Rescue Ink and Baltimore Humane Society (proceeds are going to our Pit Bull spay/neuter fund!)

Sunday, October 25th, 12pm - 4pm, B-More Dog and Rescue Ink will be at Baltimore Humane Society to celebrate Pit Bull Awareness Day and to rally against animal cruelty.  Demonstrations will include narcotics sniffing, weight pulling, agility and more.  There will be photo-ops, Q&A session, book signing, adoptable pets and a bunch of tough guys hanging around.

Monday, October 26th, Rescue Ink will tour local area shelters to help rally people to the fight against animal cruelty.
