Baltimore Humane Held Hostage Print E-mail
Take me to your leader!Baltimore Humane Society has recently been invaded by a large group of small dogs and puppies bent on wreaking havoc in our shelter! They have secured the main animal center and are holding several kennel staff and senior Baltimore Humane Society officials hostage.

A release this morning from their commanding officer stated that "Baltimore Humane staff are to find each and every pet at the shelter loving forever homes or else the occupying forces would destroy all chew toys and soil large amounts of kennel space." The release continued on to say that "no amount of newspaper could suffice for our special forces", which an inside informant confirmed consisted of at least 11 puppies.

Baltimore Humane officials are urging local residents to "take this small dog takeover as serious business" and are encouraging people to adopt as soon as possible. "This can all end peacefully... there doesn't have to be de-stuffed fuzzy chew toys and mountains of soiled newspapers," commented Kelly Graham, Baltimore Humane Society's chief negotiations specialist.

"In normal hostage situations, I'd say that giving into to the assailants demands is not a good idea. However, this one appears to be a win win situation. All they're asking for are good homes," continued Graham.

To aid Baltimore Humane Society's current hostage situation, please view our adoptable dogs, cats and rabbits! Adopters can also fill out an application online by registering on our web site and filling out an online application (click here for a dog application or here for a cat application).

Baltimore Humane Society has some truly wonder pets needing equally wonderful homes. From puppies to rabbits, we have a large number of pets that are waiting patiently for you!  In fact, we recently received an influx of small dogs that are ready to go.  And if you missed kitten season, don't worry... we have a few kittens looking for homes too.
