Spay-Neuter Inclement Weather Policy

If the Baltimore County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Spay-Neuter Center will also be closed.  We will call you to reschedule your pet’s surgery appointment. If the schools are only delayed, the surgical center will operate on its regular 8am-4pm schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Here at the Baltimore Humane Society, we are committed to ending euthanasia due to overpopulation. Our Robert P. Wagers Spay/Neuter Center offers a subsidized, high quality, high volume spay/neuter and wellness services targeting low income pet owners and animal caretakers.  We do this through the generosity of private donors, and receive no public funds for support.

Our no-kill shelter also gives medical care and works to save the lives of all homeless animals who come to us, even those needing major medical care. Cost of these medical procedures can add up quickly and place a huge financial burden on our already strained budget.  Our Yukon Medical Fund is used to help pay for that medical care.  Learn more about the Fund and how it gives these deserving animals a chance for a healthy life in a forever home!

Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment only. Please read our guidelines before applying, as not every pet qualifies for our services.

There are three ways you may contact us and schedule an appointment:

1. By phone. You may call our office at 410-833-8848 ext. 209 or ext. 210 between the hours of 9am-4pm Monday through Friday. Expect the call to take between 5-10 minutes, as we need to ask you several questions about your pet.  Please be prepared to take notes on pre-surgical requirements and instructions; we want your pet's experience to be as stress-free and safe as possible, and that starts with a few simple actions on your part.

2. By mail/fax. You may click the link below to download an application (one application per pet.)  Please read the application carefully, and then complete and return it to us by mail or fax. Once your application has been received, a representative will call you to schedule an appointment.
