Working with the kennel pups is always a good time. Our dogs need a lot of exercise and love. This volunteer program was put in place with the goal of shaping the ideal adoptable pet. Each dog that comes to our shelter is at a different level of socialization. Our Dogtown volunteers are given the training and tools necessary to work with these dogs to minimize their stress in the shelter environment and make each dog more marketable to potential adopters. Dogtown volunteers have access to trails, toys and treats to keep those tails wagging all year round!

Each new volunteer must complete Humane Society 101 (basic orientation) in order to start working in the kennel. Humane Society 101 is offered every other Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm.
