Help Bridgette!Bridgette came to us as a transfer from a small, no kill shelter in South Carolina where she had been for over a year. Her caretakers there had noted an intermittant limp, but thought that she had just injured herself repeatedly. With her blond, lanky manner, we loved her immediately and hoped she would get adopted quickly here in Baltimore.

However, on initial exam, Dr. Berliner was concerned about the condition of her knees -- you see, her kneecaps pop in and out of joint frequently, and are causing her discomfort and early arthritis. After diagnosing her with bilateral medially luxating patellas, Dr. Berliner consulted with Dr. Kennedy, a surgical specialist at Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Services in Towson. He declared her condition serious enough to require surgery on both knees. It is a staged process that will involve 3 months, a loving foster care placement, lots of post-operative care, and more than a little help from our friends.

At BMORE HUMANE, we are committed to the well-being and care of each and every pet who enters our doors. This time, we need a little help to get the job done. Please consider a donation to Bridgette's "Fix My Sticks" Campaign. Let's give those lanky supermodel limbs a little tune-up and get her on the road to recovery!

We need your help to provide Bridgette with the best possible care! We already have a foster home lined up and ready to help her recover, we just need to raise funds to cover her cost of surgery. Please take a moment to help this wonderful dog! (to donate, simply click on her image!)
